I recently ordered white Eames molded chairs for our dinning room (dinning space really). I am so excited to see them against our rustic antique wood table. I love mixing the textures and shapes of really sleek modern pieces with the rustic, character-filled, antiques - like these spaces. Can't wait to post pics of my chairs asap!

Twelve Days of Christmas - Warm and Cozies

It has been an unusually mild fall but that hasn't stopped me from wanting to snuggle up on a Sunday afternoon with a hot cup of cocoa and a good holiday movie. In my vision of my snuggly Sunday afternoon I am surrounded by pretty things....like these!

Canadian Black Friday

This weekend I was lucky enough to have Friday off. I hit the Canadian "Black Friday" sales first thing thinking (secretly hoping) that the sales would be so good I would have to push people of out the way. That was not the case. In fact the stores I went to the sales were a little...meh.

I mentioned earlier ( in this post) that I was waiting until boxing day sales to make the large purchase of our new couch. Well West Elm offered 20% off this weekend if you spent over $500.00, perfect opportunity I thought!

So I made the big move a went a head with the purchase of our couch without the boy even sitting on it! Good thing he loves me!

He arrives tomorrow! Welcome home Henry!

We aren't that far North

The other day I mentioned I am redoing my living room but what I didn't say (maybe out if embarrassment) was that my desire to redo my living room came from one item that I really want. A cheap one too!

I attempted to order the ZigZag rug a couple of weeks ago only to find out that Urban Outfitters will not ship it to Canada. Well I called around, upset I couldn't get the item delivered only to find that it is not available in Canada at all! I continued my search for a rug that would be available up here (cause apparently living in Canada means you live too far north for anyone to ship things?) but was unsuccessful and disappointment. While complaining to a friend of mine about my situation she mentioned she went through the same thing while ordering from West Elm. She was told about companies in the US that will pick up our item and then privately ship it to you!

The next morning I found ReShip. They were amazing. I spoke with Larisa, a sales associate, who was so helpful and sweet. She requested the product information and then researched our import laws to see if there was a particular reason the item could not be shipped up to me. She was so sweet and got back to me with in a couple of days to let me know ReShip would be able to help me! I signed up right aways and am now just waiting for my Rug to be shipped out - its on back order!

I will show you pictures of the living room asap - probably January (I am waiting for holiday sales to buy my new couch)

New Living Room Please!

I am dying to update my living room and have been obsessed with looking online for everything and anything. I haven't decided on anything yet but here are a couple of the many, many things that have caught my eye. I like grey if you can't tell.
