Happy (belated) 100 Oreo!

Last Tuesday the delicious Oreo cookie turn 100 years old. To celebrate I tried my hand at making a homemade version. They took a little work but turned out to be kind of delicious. They are huge in comparison so next time I will definitely make them smaller! That way I can eat more but feel like I am eating less...right?
{I used this recipe}
{FYI they sell Mango flavoured Oreos in India and Green Tea favoured Oreos in China!}

Twelve Days of Christmas - Holiday Goodies

I usually make baked goodies at this time of the year for my co-workers and this year was no exception. We had our Holiday Party yesterday and let me tell you leaving your baking to the last minute does not make for a fun time. I had two kinds of cookies on the go (because I was waiting for the boy to get home with the rest of my ingredients) and a cake! It was a kitchen nightmare. Stuff everywhere! Luckily they turned out.

I used jars instead of boxes this year but they did not hold enough...left overs means I will eat them. All. Probably in one night.

{ I made a Chocolate Espresso Cookie and a Chewy Ginger Cookie - This is the only picture I am willing to share, the mess managed to creep its way into the rest of them!}

Twelve Days of Christmas - Christmas Cookies!

Every year I make dozens of holiday cookies to give to family, friends, co-workers and neighbours. I always make a variety, last year I made Checker Board Shortbread, Gingerbread and

This year I am stepping up my game with a few new options!

Grey Day

It may still technically be October but it sure feels like November. Light drizzle and cold wind make for a pretty unpleasant day. Getting to and far work today was no joy. And walking the dog was not as pleasant as it should be. What cures grey days better than chocolate chip cookies. The calories don't count if they're homemade right?
I was trying out a new recipe from Martha Stewart - they are delish!
