It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks. I will catch up this week but I wanted to stop bye and wish everyone a very Happy Easter!

Getting Ready for Love Day

I love Valentines Day. Even though its a short lived holiday its fun to pick out cheesy gifts to let your loved ones know your thinking of them!

Balloons Balloons Balloons!

Not to look ago I was on the hunt for a great balloon store in Toronto...it didn't even have to look the part, it just had to offer a nice selection of size and colour. Sadly I never found what was I was looking for. Today I came across Geronimo Balloons out of LA. They are amazingly beautiful and so inspirational!

Come one! Come all!

I am not sure if reading Water for Elephants inspired me or if it just happened to come along at the same time but whatever the case may be I am loving Circus themed parties! I am in the midst of planning an annual staff party which takes place at a farm located just outside of Collingwood. Every year we try to mix up the theme but we always seem to fall back on the no-fail cowboy theme...I mean come on...it's a farm...right?

This year however I have been inspired to offer guests something a little unique. I have been working on graphic designs for circus theme papery lately and let my imagination run wild at the thought of working this theme into the staff party! Thus far we have an exotic petting farm (similar to the animals under the big top, no?), a jumpy castle (not exactly reminiscent of the vintage feel I was going for but fun all the same), a dunk tank, ring toss and bean bag throw.

We will offer guests treats like popcorn and candy floss in adorable packaging from vintage style machinery and there will be balloons galore! (what's a circus without balloons!) I put together a little inspiration board to show the imagery behind my theme - it's a little for your enjoyment a little to keep me on track.

BHLDN - Anthro for Parties!

As a fan of Anthropologie I was thrilled to hear they were launching a new sector catering to wedding and events.  BHLDN (which creatively comes from the Dutch word for 'to keep') offers attire and decor in Anthro's signature bohemian chic style. The website is amazing (just like it predecessors Anthropologie.com and Urban Outfitters.com), offering beautiful products in a convenient, user friendly manner. The  site breaks down the products into categories and colours while offering clients beautiful inspirational imagery.

I already posted today but I could not let this special day go by without recognition. Happy Mother's Day to all of you who are mothersand grandmothers! You are all truly amazing!

This day may have its critics but I L-O-V-E valentines! What is better than a day to indulge in chocolate and hugs! My valentine and I are watching our usual Monday Bachelor and although he may be four legged and fury he is the best snuggler around!
